Randles Veterans Resource Center

The Randles Veterans Resource Center opened on November 11, 2014 in the former Randles Conference Room. The Center goal is to be a welcoming space where veterans can support each other and avail themselves of services. The Director of Student Development and Community Engagement is the designated point of contact for all student veterans, and can be reached at 518-832-7721.  Services provided in the Center are:

  • Peer to Peer Mentoring
  • Tutorial Services (paid and unpaid)
  • Available Space for Studying (individual or group)
  • Student Work Opportunities for Veterans
  • Network Computer Availability (homework, printing/scanning/faxing capability, social networking, research)
  • Assistance with Veterans Benefits (Joint Services Transcript, e-Benefits, VA Healthcare)
  • Increase Awareness of Veteran Specific Issues on Campus
  • Link Veterans with Proper Resources on and off Campus (Accessibilities, Financial Aid, Advisement/Counselor, NYS Division of Veterans Affairs – Harry Candee, American Legion, VFW, IAVA, Department of Labor)
  • Make Aware of Services Offered to Veterans by SUNY Adirondack (Veterans Payment Plans, Payment Waivers, Deferred Payments, VA funded tutoring, Veterans Club information)
  • Lounge Space for Veterans to connect with other Veterans (TV, couches)
  • Counseling Support
  • Veteran Specific Programming
