Biography

John started his higher education career at Fulton-Montgomery Community College (FM) as instructor of Engineering Science. He worked his way to the rank of full professor and was a leader in FM's academic advising program. After 13 years on the faculty, he took on progressive administrative roles, including dean of Business and Technology, vice president for Academic Affairs, acting president, and provost. After 23 years at FM, John served as president of Clinton Community College for five years. He joined SUNY Adirondack as vice president for Academic Affairs in 2015.

Hobbies and interests

In his spare time, John likes to tend to his backyard bird sanctuary, ride bicycles with his wife, and serve as the family genealogist.
