Felony Reporting in Covered Activities

Student Felony Reporting in Covered Activities

Students who seek access to campus housing, participation in clinical, field experiences or internships, or participation in study abroad programs (i.e., covered activities) must report whether or not they have been convicted of a felony.  A lack of reporting, or reporting past the required due date, may jeopardize a student’s covered activity course registration status.

Students Who Have Been Convicted of a Felony

Any individual who has been convicted of a felony and seeks access to campus housing, participation in clinical, field experiences or internships, or participation in study abroad programs (i.e. covered activities) shall self-disclose the felony charge, the date, a description of the infraction and the sanction they received. The individual may also be required to meet with the Felony Reporting Work Group.  The Felony Reporting Work Group will review the record, consider the information shared and render a registration decision.  Materials shall be submitted well in advance of anticipated registration.  Materials submitted less than 2 weeks prior to the start of a given semester are not guaranteed a registration decision to support current course registration.  A student with a prior felony activity may not participate in any of the above covered activities until registration authorization has been provided.
