Center for Reading and Writing

The Center for Reading and Writing offers students the opportunity to discuss papers and reading materials from any discipline or course. Writing tutors will help with brainstorming ideas, organizing, revising, and editing. Writing tutors will share strategies for successful textbook reading and will also address questions about potential disablities, reading speed, and vocabulary development.

Students can work on: reading for any course, personal or professional reading, writing assignments for any discipline, admission application essays, resumes and cover letters, creative writing, speeches, and presentations.

The Center also houses tutors from other disciplines, such as history, anthropology, and psychology.

The Center is located on the first floor of the library and is open five days a week, including some evenings. Students can be tutored in person or over the phone. Assistance is also available at the Wilton Center, Monday through Thursday. Check the Center's web page at www.sunyacc.edu/academics/center-reading-and-writing for hours, schedule, and other information.
